Maiden Voyage

On Sunday our new boat took its Maiden voyage!  We had a great day with Kevin & Kolby and Kristen, Jamie, Connor & Camden.  We were so excited to now have a boat big enough to take friends.
Conner, Camden, Asher & Kolby

The little boys thought they were big boys and wanted to jump off the back!
But Asher didn't quite get the concept of jumping so I had to throw him.

Look at that hair.  LOVE it!

Ouch.
Dustin wanted to wake board since the boat has a wake board tower.
He hadn't done this in about 2 years.  And he is now 30.
I told him that he shouldn't get out there but he never listens to me.
I bet he wished he would have this time because we ended up in the ER with 8 stitches.
When he went down the wake board came up and got him right in the head.
THERE WAS A LOT OF BLOOD.
I was trying not to pass out at the site of Dustin's skull through the huge gaping cut he had.
But of course Dustin was more concerned about not getting any blood on the boat.

Ahhhhhhhhhh!

I had my first non-family "session" on Saturday.  I really thought I was gonna crap my pants I was so nervous.

Here is me about ready to leave the house.  Just wanted to tell you all how I was just dying and about sick to my stomach.
Amy works at Popejoy's and was nice enough to ask me to do their family pictures!  This means that if they sucked I was in big trouble.  Talk about pressure!
When I got to Chatsworth the place we met up at had all kinds of cool stuff!

Then we went a couple of miles out in the country and snapped a couple with Loren's car.

And we got a couple of their beautiful kids!
Adorable
And possibly onry?

This one was my fault.  It could have been so much better if I had thought to change to shutter priority!  Learning from my mistakes!

Overall I think it went pretty good.  But it was sooooo hot.  And I was sweating.
Sweating my makeup off and I had 12 zits.
Which was better than the beginning of the week when I had 18.

Fairbury Fair

On Sunday afternoon we took Asher to the Fairbury Fair!
This year he was much more interested in what was going on and LOVED the rides.

The slide was a hit!  I don't know how many times Grandma Sue had to take him down.
Love this one of Ashlyn.  Not only is her hair flying up - but so is her skirt!

Even Papa Ray wasn't safe from Asher's love for rides!  He kept calling this one a choo choo
Kolby & Ethan took him for rides too.
Thank God we have so much family.  It gets Mommy out of riding the rides!
Charlee was there with her diva glasses on!
E & Asher.  I've always thought Asher looks a lot like him.
Kane & Ashlyn.  Kane is a focused driver :)
Asher & Daddy 2011
Asher & Daddy 2010
Did I mention that he loved the rides?
He even got to ride a camel
And feed some goats

Asher & Mommy 2011
Asher & Mommy 2010
He will pry still be picking up ducks for me when he's 18
Everyone got to love on this smiley little guy.  Next year you can ride too buddy
After the fair it was back to Mom & Dad's for dinner and a little cousinly love.

I was nominated by Jessie and Sara to complete a Blogger link up.  And since I've been super busy and hadn't had a chance to upload pictures this came at a perfect time!

What this is about:
To unite bloggers (from all sectors) in a joint endeavor to share lessons learned and create a bank of long but not forgotten blog posts that deserve to see the light of day again.

Rules: 1) Blogger is nominated to take part

2) Blogger publishes his/her 7 links on his/her blog – 1 link for each category.

 - Your most beautiful post
– Your most popular post
– Your most controversial post
– Your most helpful post
– A post whose success surprised you
– A post you feel didn’t get the attention it deserved
– The post that you are most proud of

3) Blogger nominates up to 5 more bloggers to take part.

4) These bloggers publish their 7 links and nominate another 5 more bloggers

5) And so it goes on!

6) The site Trip Base will be sharing the best posts from participating bloggers on their blog and everyday on Facebook and Twitter at #My7Links

Now, I'll admit that some of these I knew my answer to right away - others, I had to really dig through my list of 497 posts to find something that would fit each of these.

My most beautiful post: Unconditional Love
Is it wrong that my most beautfil post is about puke?

My most popular post: Mama's 1st Year and a Birth Story (finally)
According to Blogger this post has the most views of all time!

My most controversial post: See above.
Yes, for sure my most controversial.  I put it all out there -  about what childbirth does to you.  Including my weight, talk about my boobs and even a picture of my scar.

My most helpful post: Things I didn't know about being a Mom...
Anyone has has kids would understand.  But those who haven't - welcome to my world.

The post that's sucess surprised me: The Thing About Blogs
I had no idea when I sat down to write this post on a whim that it would be my most commented on post.  Or that I would find a lot of new "blog friends"

The post that didn't get the attention it deserved: The Night I Almost Met Ree Drummond
Come on people if you don't know who Ree is you couldn't possibly understand my pain.

The post I'm most proud of: Treadmill? I don't need no Stinkin Treadmill
This may seem like an odd choice but when I look back over it - it is so me.  I think you learn a lot about me when you see pictures and hear the crazy thoughts in my head.

My Dad is having a nervous breakdown.
Here's why.
When I left for work this morning Mom & Dad's back yard looked like this.
Dustin & Aaron arrived and were ready to work.
But he wouldn't have been smiling if he knew then what kind of day he would have.

Because it poured rain here most of the day.  And they were digging a hole for a pool.  In the rain.  I wish I would have left my camera there beacause Mom said Dustin looked like a duck in his yellow rain slicker.

Meanwhile Dad was at work.  They said he was curled up in the fetal position murmering that he should have just bought a pool pass.
Here is what it looked like when I got home.
Kind of hard to tell that they got 3" of rain.
Asher is ready for the pool to be done.  Mom even had to leave the house when it came time to get the pool off of the truck.  Our family does not have nerves of steele - that's for sure.
