Saturday

Saturday morning I woke up to this:

Poor kid, that is some crazy hair!

Saturday morning I ran to Bloomington with Mom and Grandma Jane while Asher stayed home with Dustin.  When I got back the 3 of us went to the pool for the first time and can you believe I forgot my camera!!!  Asher had a good time and Dustin and I got to hang out in the kiddie pool.  It was good but I forgot that some of the "bigger" kids can be a pain.  I saw Holly Rogers there and she told me thats why you need a drink before you come to the pool!

Speaking of drinking.  We had Derek Stephens wedding Satruday night!  Mom watched Asher and we picked Aaron and Bethany Meiss up and headed down to Bloomington for the reception.  Plans are much different for us now when you make the decision to leave by 9:30 so you can be home to pick your kids up!  We were all having a really good time and didn't want to leave that early but had to get home.   I think you could tell I hadn't been out in a while, by my second tiny glass of White Zin I was becomin Chatty Cathy and Dustin told me to slow down.

Sunset Cruise

We took the pontoon for a sunset cruise last week.  We ran into a few problems because the river was only a few inches deep in a couple of areas.  Good thing we had Josh to co-pilot with the paddle and get us out!
Meanwhile, Asher hung out with Papa and Uncle RJ

My Boys

I'm still holding out hope that Asher and Boo will be the best of friends.  For now, I'm happy with the fact that Boo doesn't take Asher's fingers off when he feeds him his snacks :)

I love this little boy in his PJ's!

And my Boo, he really has been a good sport with Asher.  He just gets up and walks away when Asher starts to pester him.  We have had no problems with him at all.

4th of July

On Sunday we started out in Chenoa at my Great Aunt & Uncle's house to watch the Parade.
Asher gave Auntie Taylor some kisses!

Then he watched the parade
Asher and Taylor cheered them on as they went by
And he got SO excited!
Josh's family was there too and I finally got to meet his sweet baby sister Emily
During the parade I was sitting on a blanket, minding my own business, eating sweet tarts - when one of the "clowns" with water guns decided so squirt me with the water gun.  I was SOAKED.  He even had on an all too familiar Livingston County Jail jumpsuit.  Ugh, as if I don't see enough of that at work.
After the parade we walked down to Randy and Jill's to see the kids.  Here is Asher and Brynlee!
And one of Brynlee, Madie and Asher.  I'll have to dig out a picture now of Carlee, Trevin and me because I think we have some at Mom & Dad's of the 3 of us about this age!
We headed to my Uncle Bob & Aunt Kristi's in Towanda after Chenoa and had dinner.  Kate watched Asher while he played in the pool.
And on Monday we did this:
And I got really burnt.

Bruce's 60th Birthday Party

On Saturday we had my Uncle Bruce's Surprise 60th Birthday Party.  It was a nice to see a lot of people we haven't seen in a while and spend some more time with family.
Asher had fun carrying around the toilet paper left over from the t-ping the night before.  Bruce snoozed in his chair while they did the house.  Guess he didn't have his hearing aids turned on!

I will have to find the picture on my camera from last year at Bruce's birthday party of Jared holding Asher.  Last year he was only 1 month old now look at my big boy!  Scraped knees and everything :(

He also was very interested in Miss Emma Goodwin.  What a cutie!  She wasn't too sure about him though.

A brief snuggle time before he was off again!

Bigger Really is Better!

I got my photo order from Laura Kruger yesterday and I'm in love!  Here are a couple of the things I'm so excited about!
I'm so disappointed I didn't take a picture of these next to something so you can see how BIG and fantastic they are!  The 20X20 is sooooooooooooo cool!  Now I need to decide what wall I'm putting them on and pick up a couple of shelves this weekend.

Laura mounted these are foam board so they can sit on shelves and lean against the wall.  Too cool.

And check this out!  I'm sooo happy with this little "brag book."  I can carry it in my purse and I stuck it in my pocket today and took it with me to the County Clerk's office to show off when I got my coffee and to the Bank to show the tellers.  Can you tell I think he's just a little bit cute?

A Night at the Farm

We spent our Anniversary at the farm last night.  WooHoo how exciting!  The weather was perfect and Asher and Boo were so excited to play outside.  Here are a few pictures from last night.
The Sister.  Mowing it Old-School.

Our Baby Pontoon about to make its launch for the year

The river was up with all the rain we've had and I'm sure it was a good night for a boat ride.  However, Asher and I headed home before we got a chance to go for a cruise.

Mommy & Asher walked over to Aunt Heidi's to scope out her weed situation.

Pretty dire, that one behind me is taller than me!
The latest farm car was resurrected from its watery grave.

HO!

I ended the night with a run to Lynn Barnett's at 9:00 for an "emergency" massage.  I've been struggling with my headaches again and couldn't take it anymore.  I love that woman!  I went back to the Dr today and we changed my medicine a little bit so hopefully that helps!
