Popejoy Christmas Party

Saturday night we had the Popejoy Christmas Party.  We took a bus down to Central Station, which is now called Station 220 and had dinner.  The food was really good and I was able to snap one picture of our end of the table before my battery died.

We have a great time at the Christmas Party every year but the shop seems to be growing so much that there were so many people there you feel like you don't have a chance to talk to everybody.  After dinner we went to the Treehouse Comedy Club - where we were pretty much the only people in there.  I kind of felt sorry for the guy because we had quite a group of people there - and Mike Kupferschmid had plenty to say.

Ladies Night Out

Last night Mom had her 2nd Annual Ladies Night Out Christmas Party.  I had a good time and really enjoyed seeing the "Bank Girls" that I feel like I never get to see anymore :(

I think we were all SO excited to get to see Jill!  She's lookin pretty good for just having brain surgery wouldn't ya say?

Oh my how I love these ladies.  We're missing Jan, she was in the other room and Janis who I'm sure was lovin on her new Grandbaby that night.

Finally, a good picture.  We sure as hell don't miss our old job but we do miss each other.  I don't think I've laughed that hard since we got together last year. 

We Don't Claim Him

**Sigh**  Last night my Brother walked into my house as proud as could be of his new purchase.  I guess its every 16 year old boy's dream to own a pair of women's footed pajamas.

And the worst part?  He's wearing that thing to the basketball game tomorrow night - because evidently that's cool.

Playing in the Snow

Asher woke up Saturday morning and was so excited to look out the window and see all of the snow.

He stood at the window for the longest time - pounding on it and yelling at the kid across the street who spent like 2 hours shoveling his driveway.

Then we played for a while and he acted like he was changing the channel.

Then it was time to go to the Christmas Parade!

It was just a wee bit chilly.  But we figured if Dad could get his firetruck out in the cold and snow we could bundle up to go and watch him. 

But I think he was a little bit chilly by the end too!

O Christmas Tree!

You know how I told you my "fake" Christmas tree was HIDEOUS?  Wednesday night I told Dustin it was Fugly and he agreed but said he wasn't gonna say anything.  So I told him I was taking it down and we were going to go to Bloomington and get a real tree and he actually agreed.  I had planned on getting a picture of my Christmas disaster but I was so worried about tearing it down first thing Thursday morning I forgot.  But I do have a picture of our new beautiful tree.  We went with a "lightly" flocked tree this year and I love it!

And of course there is Asher's Mickey Mouse tree in his room.  It turned out so cute!



Merry Christmas To Myself!

I've been wanting a new camera for a long time now but I just didn't want to spend the money on a new one.  Mom bought me a really nice point and shoot for Christmas two years ago when I was pregnant with Asher and while I like it a lot it just doesn't do the job now that he's on the go.  By the time it takes the picture he's moved on to something else.  So while we were out shopping on Black Friday I decided to bite the bullet and just buy myself one.  I had been looking online for a few weeks and decided I really wanted the Nikon D3100 so I bought one and I LOVE it.  Its going to take me a while to learn how to use it but here are a few pictures from that first night.  That would be before I got hit with the flu.

We stopped down at Nana Jane's so Daddy could take a look at her furnace.

Then Asher went night night and Mommy and Boo cuddled before all hell broke loose and I started getting sick.  Not exactly how I wanted to spend my Holiday weekend.

Thanksgiving

Sadly, I don't have any pictures from the Righter Thanksgiving because Asher woke up Thursday morning in a puddle of vomit.  Yes, it was disgusting.  I thought he was feeling better so we went to my Mom's and we weren't there 10 minutes before he threw up again.  So we went back home.  His explosive diarrhea face was priceless that afternoon.  Poor kid. 

Asher's Great Great Aunt Annie stayed home with him on Friday while Me, Mom, Taylor, Grandma Jane, Addie and my Aunt Kristi went shopping.  We had fun and the crowds weren't too bad.  I even bought myself a new camera!  Maybe I'll learn how to work it by next Christmas!  I felt fine all day and that night but at about 9:00 the flu hit me too and I had it all through the night.

Sunday we had Thanksgiving with the Popejoy side and I got a few pictures of Asher & Charlee.
