Reasons

I did not take this photo for several reasons:

• I didn't take it to remember what I looked like at 26 with no make-up.
• I didn't take it because I looked good (obviously).
• I didn't take it to remember my threadbare nightgown that I've worn this entire pregnancy.
• I didn't take it to remember that this was the day that my friend Carlee had her little guy Boston or that it had been exactly 14 years since my cousin Sean was killed.
• I didn't take it to remember a day when I was 34 weeks pregnant and had a day of "tummy troubles."

I did, however, take this photo for one reason:

• To remember what it was like to carry BOTH my boys up the stairs to bed on this night and stop on the stairs and think "WOW, time goes soooo fast!"

35 Weeks

 

 I don't know what it is about this pregnancy but I just feel like this baby is smaller?!?!  With Asher I always felt like he was HUGE.  And seeing this illustration in comparison to my belly I just can't believe there is a baby that big in there.  Maybe I'm in denial.  I guess we'll find out how big Brudder is this Thursday when I have my size/position ultrasound!

How far along?: 35 Weeks

How big is baby?: 5.25 lbs and 18+ inches

Weight gain/loss?: 34 pounds!

Stretch marks?: Nope

Maternity clothes?:  I refuse to buy more clothes but since I seem to be gaining 5 pounds every 2 weeks (ugh) I'm outgrowing them really fast.  Hoping to make it to the end without shelling out any more money for clothes I'll never wear again.

Sleep?: I get up to pee about 4-5 times a night and toss and turn a lot.

Food cravings?: Sweet corn.

Gender?: Another Brudder!

Movement?: No more kicks and punches just big rolling movements.  And a lopsided belly :)

Belly button?: Out. - and its looking a little indecent.

Tid Bits

 

Just look at my little cowboy.  I love this child.

 

We had Easter at Nannie Jane's last Saturday.  Asher went all day without a nap.  That meant by about 4:30 Mama had no patience left.  He was running around like a wild man with his cousins but I went downstairs at 7:30 that night and he was out - and he slept until 7:30 the next morning!

This was a good week for me considering I really didn't have to cook except for Monday night - although I didn't make it to Gibson for Mel and Joyce's birthday on Thursday because I was just exhausted.

• I have been using WEN products for over 2 months now and I must say: I am in LOVE.  This has helped me so much not to chop my hair back off (I haven't had my hair cut since January!).  Although I was struggling after seeing my friend Kelsey on Saturday with her super cute short hair.
• Wednesday was not a good day.  When I went to bed Tuesday night I was feeling a little crampy but thought nothing of it.  By the time I made it to Mom & Dad's the next morning to drop the boys off I was totally sick to my stomach.  So Asher and I had a nice cuddle day.
• Do you see Saturday and Sunday up there?  NO PLANS for the weekend!  Thank God.  I do believe this is the last weekend before Brudder comes that we have no plans!!!
•  My friend Carlee had her baby boy Boston on Wednesday!  Hoping everything goes well and they're home soon.
• And finally - if you'd like to take a guess about when Brudder will arrive and how big he'll be there is an ExpectNet link on the sidebar!  My Aunt Kristi won with Asher's so I'm interested to see who has the best guess this time!

My Little Landscaper

Last Sunday before we made our way over to our house for a little yard work we went to Mom and Dad's to help put down some sod.

Asher was actually a huge help and helped roll out each bundle.  He kept looking at me and telling me to go inside.  Evidently when he's working with the big boys he doesn't need his Mommy.

I'm glad I told him he couldn't wear his cowboy boots and he opted for the rubber fire boots instead.

He was one dirty little boy.  But he also LOVED it.

 He wasn't the only one that was dirty.

Dustin was on clean up duty as usual.  He just can't handle a mess.

Easter Eggs

Every year we've dyed Easter Eggs at Mom and Dad's.

But I'm not really sure why we do.  Asher really has no interest at all.

And The Sister ends up doing it herself.

As you can see, he was very interested in what was going on :)

34 Week Appointment

Weight Gain This Appointment:  5 pounds in 2 weeks.  Someone help me.

Total so Far: 34 pounds

Belly Measurement:  33 cm

Brudder's Heart Rate:  130's

What's Next:  Yesterday we discussed several things.  First of all I'm no longer worried that Brudder is sunnyside up because he is now transverse!  Ugh.  I knew he was laying really funny the last couple of days.  I was afraid she would tell me that.  I have a size and position ultrasound scheduled for next Thursday so hopefully he does some movin before then.  I really don't want to have the option of a VBAC taken away from me by one stubborn little man.

And in case you were wondering how that affects by belly - this is what I'm dealing with!  I can tell he is completely sideways and lopsided.  Someone even made a comment about my belly being lopsided when I walked into the Dr's office.

I also told her I would like to look at options other than an epidural.  I know right now its easy to say that I want as little pain intervention as possible but the day of I'll pry be begging for it.  Right now the plan is to take it as it comes and see how it goes.  I also asked how many people can be in the room during labor... one person besides Dustin.  I told Mom her and The Sister would have to duke it out but Mom said she isn't even giving Taylor the option.

34 Weeks with Asher

How far along?: 34 Weeks

How big is baby?: 4.75 lbs and 18 inches

Weight gain/loss?: 30+ pounds!

Stretch marks?: Haha I had a massage with Lynn last week and while she was massaging my belly I asked her to look for stretch marks and she said she didn't see any!  She also said that massage is great for stretch marks.  I think I'll use that as an excuse next time Dustin complains that I go for massages too often :)

Maternity clothes?: ARE WE DONE YET?  I'm seriously running out of clothes and refuse to buy more!

Sleep?: I get up to pee about 4-5 times a night but I'm able to go right back to sleep.

Food cravings?: Nothing notable this week. 

Gender?: Another Brudder!

Movement?: I love to sit and watch my belly move.  Crazy.

Belly button?: Out. - and its looking a little indecent.

Tid Bits

• Its been another one of those weeks.  Sorry for the lack of posting.  Sometimes it seems like its all I can do to get through the day. 
• Monday night I took some pics with my friend Nikki's kids.  Jake gave me a run for my money but I think we got some cute ones.
• I've also been working on Graduation invites for RJ and Tanner - RJ's party is May 19th and Mom said I better be there!  We'll see what Brudder decides to do.
• I made my final 3 massage appointments with Lynn.  I made one for Sunday May 20th to have my ankles rubbed.  She was sweet enough to even offer to come to my house!  I told her if it didn't work I'd be back the next night too :)
• I'm starting to get really excited.  Now when people ask me how long and I say 6 weeks it doesn't seem far away.
• Last night Dustin crawled in bed.  He asked me "whats this baby's name?"  So I told him.  He said "Are you sure?"  I said "Yep." then he rolled over and went to sleep.  I take it that its a yes?  Hmmmm maybe we should have had this discussion before 34 weeks :)

Yes, we leave the house looking like this.  Hat backwards, white t-shirt, basketball shorts and cowboy boots.

He is such a stud

My Mom bought me a maternity suit!  Maybe she was tired of listening to the men complain about my belly in a bikini - but she said its cuz I'll need something to cover my "pooch" this summer after Brudder gets here!

Speaking of my silly boy.  Here is he walking through the mall last Saturday with his hat cocked to the side.  He said thats how RJ wears his.

I paid my parking tickets today.  I got 3 this week.  Ugh.

Boys and Their Toys

I knew his worry about RJ wouldn't last too long.  Asher is back on the 4-wheeler and is starting to get a little more daring each time.  Now he likes to ride standing up and yell at me as he's going by "I's not being careful!"  And I'm going to have two of them...

But at least I don't have to wonder where he gets it from...

33 Weeks

Wow.

I made myself a mumu this weekend and I'm in love!

How big is baby?: 4 pounds and 17 inches

Weight gain/loss?: 30 pounds!

Stretch marks?: Not that I can see but with the way my belly is growing it wouldn't surprise me!

Maternity clothes?: I made myself a mumu!  Its so comfy and I love it.

Sleep?: Asher got up 6 times last night.  Enough said.

Food cravings?:  BLT's.  I had a BLT 3 times last week.  When we ate dinner at the steakhouse at the boat on Thursday our waiter must have seen me having a hard time finding something to eat.  He overheard my Mom say something about how much I had been craving BLT's and he went back and asked the chef to make me one!  Yummy :)

Gender?: Another Brudder!

Movement?:  Yes.  I worked a little too much in the yard yesterday and had some major braxton hicks in the afternoon.

Belly button?: Out. - and its looking a little indecent.
