Christmas Eve - Weber Side

Every year we have Christmas Eve with the Weber side and its always a good time!  Here are a few of the pictures from that night.
Having a snack with Auntie Taylor and waiting for everyone to arrive.
The boys doing what they do best.

Uncle Denny's Family
Uncle Bruce's Family
Uncle Terry's kids
Uncle Jeff's Family
Our Family
Holy Crap, the Grandkids.
And like Mom pointed out - a lot of us aren't even married yet!
Love this one of the boys
Can you suck it in any more guys?

Mom liked her gift just a little bit.
Asher carried this retro booster seat that Grandma Glo had around all night.  He loved it and it was just his size.

The Aftermath

Since its gonna take me a while to sort through the 150+ pictures I took from all of our Christmas festivities I'll just post a few pictures of the aftermath of Christmas. I haven't had a chance to get all of his gifts out of the box yet so I'm thinking maybe we need to designate the computer room upstairs as another toy room...

To My Dearest Sister

Last Friday while we were shopping for you a little dress to wear out for your friends 21st Birthday that night I'll admit I was a little jealous.  Only because I knew while you were out at the bars that night I would pry be at Mom & Dad's eating VFW Steak Fry like we do almost every Friday night.  Then I would go home and put Asher's pajamas on and go to bed by 9:00.  Ho-Hum.

But then on Saturday morning I get this text from you:
Taylor: What time are cookies?
I was thinking hmmmm you're supposed to be staying in Champaign all weekend.  But I told you we were on our way to Grandma Jane's then and asked if you had a rough night.
Taylor: I don't think I'm going to be able to stay for another round.  My feet are cut up and I can barely walk.
What the hell?  Your feet are cut up?  So we went on to Grandma Jane's and baked cookies.  When you walked in we all couldn't help but laugh.  You looked so pretty

You told us how someone must have dropped a glass on dance floor and you had kicked off your heels and had been dancing on broken glass.  Ahem, not the smartest thing you had ever done.  You took off your shoes and we were all horrified at how cut up they were.  Gross.  So of course Grandma Jane took care of you and soaked your feet in peroxide.
It wasn't until I was pulling shards of glass out of your feet with tweezers that I realized I was thankful for becoming a wife and mother so young.  If this is what i missed out on by foregoing the "College Experience" I don't think I missed a damn thing

(This is pry the most disgusting this I've ever shared on this blog)

So next time I'm feeling sorry for myself that I got married too young and I never get to go anywhere anymore I'll just remember pulling all that glass out and think that maybe I don't have it so bad.

18 Month Stats

Asher had his 18 month check up with Dr Austman last night and here were his stats:

Height: 2'9" (when did we get big enough to measure in feet?!?!)  - 75-95%

Weight: 24 lbs 6 oz  -  75%

We haven't gotten much bigger since his 15 month check up but she said he looks much more grown up, must be the big boy hair cut.  She checked his ears and he does have another ear infection but since he wasn't running a fever she didn't want to give him any antibiotics.  He's pry saving the fever for Christmas Eve.

Christmas Cookies

On Saturday morning we had family pictures with Ray and Sue.  Afterwards we headed to Grandma Jane's to do our Christamas baking.  Even Dustin came after he took Boo to the vet.  I think Asher enjoyed the sugar cookies and peppermint bark the most.  We ordered pizza for lunch and had a nice lazy day.

Happy Birthday Nana Jane!

On Friday Grandma Jane had a "Big" Birthday, and no Grandma - I won't tell them how old you are.  But I took the afternoon off of work to surprise her down in Bloomington.  We met Grandma, Mom, Annie, Milissa and Baby Brody at the nail salon for mani's and pedi's before lunch.

By these pictures I think you can tell who the baby hog was!

I think Brody enjoyed the massage chair too!

Happy Birthday Grandma Jane!
Afterwards we enjoyed a leisurely lunch at Biaggi's then went shopping for a while.  It was nice to have the afternoon off to hang out with my favorite ladies.

Play Time

Monday night Taylor was over and Asher was all wound up playing Basketball down in his playroom.  He loves it when he has an audience to cheer for him :)

Mama - Mama - Mama!

Remember just a short while ago when I wrote this post?  Well it didn't take long for things to change.  Asher is now a Mama's boy again.  I'm not going to complain but most nights he is literally up my butt.  No, I'm serious.  He stands behind me screaming "MAMAMAMAMAMA" while I'm trying to do something with his arms wrapped around my legs and his head up my butt.

But that's OK, because I would rather have it that way than him not want me at all.  So since I don't think any pictures exist of my Mom and us kids while Dustin took Annie home last night I tried to snap a few pictures of Asher and myself.  I think all I did was make him think I was crazy.

Who are you waving at?
I swear I don't know her...
Oh, OK - I'll play along.

This is what happens when little boys touch the glass on the fireplace.  After weeks of pointing at it and telling me it was hot I thought we were good.  Sunday night I just about caught him before he touched it but no such luck.

Auntie Taylor came later and snapped a couple of pictures before bath time.

And I'll leave you with Asher blowing you a kiss!
