Family Dinner Night

I know I've mentioned Family Dinner night before.  Every Wednesday night we go to my Mom and Dad's for dinner.  I love this.  I think it stems from the fact that we sat down to dinner every.single.night as a family.  Well not Thursday nights - that's Dad's church lodge night so he's gone every Thursday.  I'm glad we've carried on somewhat of a tradition now that we're older.  A lot of the time Grandma Jane joins us for dinner and whoever else wants to come can - so sometimes there are lots of people!

We are your typical slightly dysfunctional family.
We make fun of each other and manage to talk about shit at some point every week.
We don't know why this happens, it just does.
Asher sits in the corner with a lawn & leaf garbage bag under him
This just makes me insanely happy
Helping Uncle RJ
Workin on the Silver Stallion
I love this kid!
There is lots of sitting around and talking.  And yes, drinking beer.
My Uncle Denny hooked up the little hot tub today so we had to try it out.
Watch these two, monkey see - monkey do

Somehow Asher has gone from calling him Ko-bee to Boo-bee.
Oh well, he's still a baby.

This is something I will make sure I do with my family.  It's a chance for us all to get together and bug the shit out of each other once a week.  Now that's love.

BG Nation

I'm a freak, I know.
I am a member of the BG Nation and proud of it.  I think Brantley has the most loyal fans I've ever seen.  Just by following him and the fanpage (told you I was a freak) on Facebook you would not believe the love and praise and total devotion that his fans have.  They are totally defensive of him - but I guess I'm the same way.  On the eve of purchasing tickets to my 3rd Brantley Gilbert show this year I thought I would post a couple of videos so you can see just what I'm talking about!  His voice is a little hoarse in these but you'll get the idea.

This guy puts on one hell of a show, you can read here about my first Brantley concert.  Honestly every person there was as big of a fan as I was.  I am so looking forward to seeing him on the 23rd and now again on November 5th!!!
This is my "get pumped up for work" or "its Friday night!" song on the way to and from work!

This is my "screw you Jason Aldean" song!  In case you didn't know Brantley wrote both My Kinda Party and Dirt Road Anthem... Jason Aldean only sings them

Speaking of Jason, Brantley does it better!

Flyin Down a Back Road

Have you noticed that I love Country Music?
More specifically I love Brantley Gilbert & Justin Moore.  You won't ever catch me listening to the radio anymore - I have their 4 CD's on constant repeat in my truck.  While we were sunning ourselves on Saturday this song came on.  Push play because this post isn't complete without this song.
This song + Dad's SSR = Inspiration
Flyin down a back road
With some buddies from back home
Splash of Jack in my Coke
Catchin' Brine on a Zebco
Spottin Deer in a Hayfield
After chuch, a Sunday Meal
And huggin my Mama before I go
Flyin down a back road
I'm a lucky man I've had a real good life
With all the things I've done
Nothin gets me as high
As flyin down a back road
With some buddies from back home

I Can't Hide My Redneck Side

Saturday morning The Sister and I ran down to Bloomington so she could pick up a shower gift for one of the 7 weddings she has this summer.  While we were there we stopped at Target to get a pool to take to the farm that afternoon.  Of course we had to get the one with cupholders!  Then it was out to the farm for an afternoon of relaxing!
Of course I had to pull the truck up so we could crank up Justin & Brantley!

I made the mistake of buying Asher a squirt gun
The Sister was in the line of fire most of the afternoon
He thought it was a lot of fun until Daddy started splashing him back.  He started shaking his finger at him and yelling "No, No, No Daddy!"

We can't hide our Redneck Side

Nothin' Like the View From the Cheap Seats

I hate baseball but I love these people.

The guys at Popejoy's decided that it was a good time for us all to get together so they rented a bus and took a bunch of us down to the Cornbelter's game in Bloomington.  I was excited to go because it had been since the Popejoy Christmas party that I got to hang out with everyone.  Before Asher - actually before we ever even got married - we hung out with these guys all the time and had a lot of fun.  Now that we have Little Man there just doesn't seem to be enough time in the week to go out and now we all have families of our own.  Except for the occasional beer on Friday night we don't get to hang out too much.

Jodi & I don't get to hang out nearly enough
Everyone was laughing at Dustin because his wife is the crazy camera lady
I didn't watch much of the game
But I did get my new favorite shot of The Sister and Josh
Beau, Jodi, Ryan and Wendy
Beau & Jodi
Ryan & Wendy
They'll be married in September!
Only in central Illinois are teams named after corn
If I had a nickel for every time Josh told me he was gonna break my camera I would be a rich woman.
Isn't she beautiful?
After the game they had fireworks
Took me the entire 5 minutes to figure out which camera settings to use
Then we loaded up on the bus and headed home
When we got back to Fairbury some of us weren't ready to go home yet so we piled in Beau's truck.
Taylor got to ride in Charlee's car seat.
We had a couple beers then headed home.  Another great night with some fun people :)
