8 Weeks Old!

My baby boy is 8 weeks old! He has grown and changed SOOOOOOO much! Only 4 short weeks until I'll have to go back to work :(

I'm starting to worry that Asher might be a thumb sucker... but as of now its his whole fist! Taylor got a picture of him sucking his thumb the other day, I'll have to get a copy and post it.

Taylor was taking a video of Asher today and I walked in at just the right time... you'll see what I mean.

House Update: We got an offer! Exactly 2 weeks after we put the house up for sale we got an offer. We gave a counter offer and are waiting to hear back.

Smiling, or something like it

Thank you Jan Friedman! Here is a picture of Asher and his seahorse. Jan got him this and said that her grandson loves it... so does Asher. He will lay in his crib and just stare at it. Too bad it only plays music and lights up for 5 minutes at a time before I have to go turn it on again!

I took this video this morning. He is starting to smile, although they are still few and far between.

Getting to be such a big boy! When you are holding him over your shoulder he can really hold his head up. But I can't tape him and hold him at the same time so we'll have to get that video when we have some help.

2 Month Check Up

Asher went for his 2 month check up today

Weight: 10 lb 14 oz - 50 percentile

Length: 22.5 inches - 50 percentile

Dr Austman checked him over and said he looked good. He got his first set of shots and it didnt go too bad, we'll see how he feels this afternoon.

Nap Time

For Sale by Owner

Somehow Boo managed to get in a couple of the pictures :)

As some of you may know Dustin and I were always planning on moving to Mom and Dad's house sometime in the future because they were always going to move to Grandma Glo's. Well in the future seems a lot different now that it isnt the future anymore! Now that Grandma has passed away reality has hit. I will be VERY sad to leave here because I LOVE this house and we've finally got it where we want it. We weren't sure how long it would take us to sell it so we decided to stick a for sale sign in the yard last Saturday. Since then we have shown it 3 times and will show it again tomorrow!

This seems to be moving really fast but thats better than having no one interested at all. If it does sell we'll be moving in with mom and dad for a few months (that could get interesting!) until they complete their overhaul on Grandma's house. So keep your fingers crossed for us that one of the 4 are really intersted and if you know of anyone looking in the area point them in our direction.

Sleeping Through the Night

For the last 2 nights Asher has slept through the night!!! I've put him down around 10:00 and he gets up at about 5:30. So I think maybe its time to move to the big bed. Besides sleeping through the night he's outgrowing the bassinet. I got on the scale with him this morning and I think he weighs a little over 10 lbs. He goes back to the doctor Monday for his shots :(

Papa to the Rescue!

Friday afternoon me, Asher, Mom and Annie ran down to Bloomington to get some last minute things for Asher's baptism party. We stopped at Sam's for gas on the way out of town and when Mom went to leave the truck wouldn't start. Good thing there is a breeze out there because it was a hot day, but Asher didn't seem to mind too much. Dad made it to Bloomington in record time and brought the Cadillac for us to drive home. But here's the kicker... the Truck started for Dad when he got there. I guess all you have to do is start beating on it with a wrench and it'll start. Dad told us from now on we're limited to one trip to Bloomington per week - Oh well made for a few good pictures for the blog.

Splish Splash

Wow. He isn't crying during his bath. He's getting to be a big boy!!!

Emily and Kaden came yesterday and Kaden had to show me how to run the swing.

He looks so big! He is really long when he gets all stretched out. Evidently Papa's belly is a good place to take a nap.

Little Payne Stewart

Asher got all dressed up today for 4th of July. Too bad we aren't going anywhere because its raining. Kevin Kafer came to pick Dustin up and said that he looked like a little Payne Stewart. Too bad the hat is so big and the pants come up to the middle of his chest.

Brotherly Love.

I'm so glad Grandma Glo got to meet Asher. This picture was taken on Tuesday and she passed away on Saturday.

Here is Ashers: "Please Mom, no more pictures video." He's been rather fussy in the mornings lately. This was the day I finally called my mom to come over or I was gonna beat him. Of course he was perfect by the time she got here and went right down for a nap.
