Happy Anniversary

Happy 27th Anniversary
to my Parents!

Asher & Charlee

Do you remember the first post of Asher and Charlee?  Its amazing to see how much these two have changed!  Sue was watching both of them last Friday so I left my camera with her to get a few pictures.  So here are the cousins.  Asher at about 14 months and Charlee a little over 15 months.  Enjoy!  (But be warned, neither of them look too thrilled in any of them!)

Happy 2nd Birthday Ashlyn!

Today is my little cousin/niece Ashlyn's 2nd Birthday!!!  I can't believe she is 2 already and will be a BIG sister this fall!!!  I had to dig to find a post of her as a tiny baby but here it is!  One of the very first posts to this blog.  When I get home from work today Ashlyn will be there hanging out with Asher until her Mommy and Daddy are done with a visitation in town.  I'll have to see what kind of goodies I can come up with to spoil her with before they pick her up!

The day she was born

Awww such a sweet baby!  Be sure to check Ashlyn's Blog because I'm sure Milissa will have a birthday post up!

A Visitor

I had a little visitor in my office today after lunch.  Our weekly lunches at Bernardi's might be short-lived because Asher doesn't sit still very well anymore.  Today we got about half way through before he figured out that if he screamed he would get a reaction out of us.  So I walked across the street to the Courthouse to take him to see the girls in my office.  He loved the swinging door and tried to play with that the whole time.  I didn't get a very good picture of him at Mommy's desk and wanted one of him outside with Abe Lincoln but I think we'll wait until a day when it isn't so hot out.

Cabbage Patch Kid

Saturday night we loaded up and headed to Gibson to my favorite restaurant the Bayern Stube.  I had been craving German food all week and couldn't wait to have some Rahmschnitzel and Red Cabbage.  It turns out I'm not the only one who loves red cabbage!  Check out my Little Man eating fist-fulls of cabbage.  He even liked the sauerkraut!

While Asher and I might be going for the food I think Dustin might be going for a different reason:

Here is a video of my crazy kid playing with his crayons.  Gotta love him!

And looking so handsome before we left that night.  The scab on his head finally fell off during the night Sunday night and his knees are almost healed.  That means he'll pry break those back open in the next couple of days!  Today I'm off work spending the day with my Little Man.  His sitter has been on vacation for 2 weeks so its my turn to get to spend the day with him :)

Resident Evil

As most of you know I think BooBoo is perfect.  And for the most part he is.  There is only one time when he acts like a very bad little boy: when he goes to the vet.  We used to go to the groomer on a regular basis.  He didn't love it but he did fine.  After I was pregnant he became terrible for the groomer and it got to the point where he got kicked out of the groomer.

So now I have to drive him to our vet in Piper City every couple of months to have his nails trimmed and his glands done.  He does not enjoy this - not that I blame him.  My sweet little cuddly BooBear turns into a totally different dog as soon as we hit the brick road in Piper.  He knows as soon as we hit the bumps in the road where we're at.  So last time I put the muzzle on him with no problems at all and all went pretty well.  (Yes, my 6 lb Chihuahua needs a muzzle)

So I went inside Saturday morning and got the muzzle, went back out to the truck and tried to put it on him.  And tried.  And tried.  And tried.  Four bite marks for me later and one less tooth for Boo and we gave up.  I can't believe hit bit me so hard he lost a tooth!

So I just handed him and the tooth over to Dr Whitman and he took it from there.  When he came out Dr Whitman had a new name to add to his growing list that he has for Boo:

Prick
Hellcat
Venomous Viper
Resident Evil

Holy Molars!

My poor Bubby.  His molars are coming in on both sides and they are huge!  He's been chewing on his hands constantly all week.  The kid goes 100 mph all day long but he's like a little druggie when you pull out the Tylenol.  He sits down right where he's at and waits patiently!

We're going to have to start calling him Crash.  I'm sure you saw this picture on Wednesday:

He did that on Tuesday while running around the kitchen with a plastic pitcher.  Annie said she was right next to him the whole time.  But you know what?  It really doesn't matter.  The kid only has one speed: running.  He goes non-stop from the time he wakes up to the time he goes to bed.  What a Little Stinker.

We actually have no big plans for this weekend so that will be nice.  I was informed this morning that I am too old to go school shopping anymore.   WTF?  I guess I'll just stay home on Saturday while everyone else gets to go shopping.  I don't think I would have wanted to go with my brother anyway.

Golf Cart

Asher finally wore the battery down in the golf cart so do you know what that means???  He can reach the pedals!!!  Well, most of the time.  Dustin charged it for the first time the other night and it was raining so he pulled the Bug and the truck out of the garage and let Asher ride the golf cart in the garage.  I thought it was a good picture to have my Chevelle in the background since they match.  Next year I don't think it will be such a good idea to have both the car and Asher in the garage so I don't know what we'll do when the time comes.

Shelbyville

This pretty much sums up my little vacation.  FREEDOM!!!  Don't get me wrong, I missed my little boys and bawled like a baby every time I called home but it was nice to not have to be a Mommy 24/7 for a little while.  Hell I think I even drank more than the 6 pack I was planning on that weekend.  I think it was more like 8!
Milissa was a trooper for going out in that heat and being pregnant.  I never once heard her complain.  Speaking of complaining, Ryan must have thought I was going to be a major pain because he kept telling me how proud he was of me for not being a party pooper all weekend.  He must have been prepared for the worst!  But hey, I drank a little - and get this!  I didn't even pull my Kindle out when people were around!!!  I only read before bed and in the morning before the other lazy butts got out of bed.  We got there late Thursday afternoon and spent some time in the pool then made dinner and had some friendly competition on the putting green that night.  Friday morning we were out on the lake early and had to either be cruising or in the water because it was so hot!  We spent Saturday on the lake again and met up with my Uncle Bruce and some friends from Fairbury for a while then went back and got cleaned up to go out to dinner that night.  We were up bright and early Sunday morning to get home.  I missed my little boy!

Golfing, in the dark, the first night.
Haha this is priceless!  Josh trying on Taylor's "chicken fillets"
As if the whole bottle of lighter fluid and small tree weren't enough to get the fire going Ryan thought he would get down and blow on it.  Actually, it worked and got the fire going.
Ryan & Milissa waiting for a new gas cap at the Marina
Mmmmm Blackberry Merlot!  Taylor was rockin Dustin's shades after she broke hers.
Dumb and Dumber, need I say more?
The Sisters.
Ryan in his diaper
The group going out for dinner
Dan & Sam Brown, Ryan & Milissa Welborn, Dustin & Me and Taylor & Josh
And yes, ewwwww one of the highlights of my trip was getting to pop Dustin's spider bite on his neck.  He was bit in a basement at work on Wednesday and this thing got NASTY before it was all over with!

Going Away....

Finally, we are getting away for a weekend.  I just haven't decided if I'm excited yet or not because I'm not ready to leave my boys for the weekend.  We leave this afternoon for Lake Shelbyville.  I haven't been on a little vacation since we went to Shelbyville in August of 2008.  Thats a loooooooooong time for us to go without a vacation.  I'm working this morning but getting off at noon and we're leaving as soon as I get back.  I feel bad leaving work when we're so busy but I'm kind of glad to get away from the people putting "annual ripoff" in the check memo when paying their taxes.  HAHA you're so funny!

So we'll be off this afternoon!  Me & Dustin, Taylor & Josh, Ryan & Milissa and Dan & Samantha.  I should have lots of pictures when we get back and a story or two to tell.

Saturday

Saturday morning I woke up to this:

Poor kid, that is some crazy hair!

Saturday morning I ran to Bloomington with Mom and Grandma Jane while Asher stayed home with Dustin.  When I got back the 3 of us went to the pool for the first time and can you believe I forgot my camera!!!  Asher had a good time and Dustin and I got to hang out in the kiddie pool.  It was good but I forgot that some of the "bigger" kids can be a pain.  I saw Holly Rogers there and she told me thats why you need a drink before you come to the pool!

Speaking of drinking.  We had Derek Stephens wedding Satruday night!  Mom watched Asher and we picked Aaron and Bethany Meiss up and headed down to Bloomington for the reception.  Plans are much different for us now when you make the decision to leave by 9:30 so you can be home to pick your kids up!  We were all having a really good time and didn't want to leave that early but had to get home.   I think you could tell I hadn't been out in a while, by my second tiny glass of White Zin I was becomin Chatty Cathy and Dustin told me to slow down.

Sunset Cruise

We took the pontoon for a sunset cruise last week.  We ran into a few problems because the river was only a few inches deep in a couple of areas.  Good thing we had Josh to co-pilot with the paddle and get us out!
Meanwhile, Asher hung out with Papa and Uncle RJ
