The Santa Suit

I've seen this picture many times.  It is the picture I usually identify with "The Weber Boys."   This was used for my Grandparents Christmas card in 1963.  That little baby there in the Santa Suit -----> that's my Dad.  And yes, he is for sure the youngest brother.

This picture was taken in 1986.  The Santa Suit was 23 years old and I was just 5 weeks.  Thats me with Glo.

 These pictures were taken yesterday.  The Santa Suit is 49 years old (wow Dad, you're getting old!) and my little munchkin is 14 weeks.  Somehow I can't find the picture of Asher in the little Santa Suit - but I know we took one! 



Camping

One of the last weekends in July we decided to go camping and boating.  Mom and Dad had just bought a motor home and Dustin hadn't really been able to use the boat all summer.  We loaded up and went down to Clinton Lake on a Friday afternoon.  We had a nice relaxing night.

My weekend was cut short however because I came down with mastitis, again.  If you've never had this - you are so freakin lucky.  For some reason I was blessed with having it 3 times within the first 9 weeks.  I was fine when I woke up Saturday morning but then I noticed that my legs and butt were really sore.  By the time I met everyone for lunch I was starting to feel really sick.  Its like having the flu - body aches, head ache, fever, chills and a sore boob.  I texted Dr Austman and she was able to call me in an anti-biotic that afternoon.  The Sister was nice enough to run to Pontiac and pick it up so Adler and I set off for home.  Grandma Jane met me there so she could take care of Adler for me.  It was a LONG night.  Thankfully the worst of it only lasts about 24 hours.  

** Update -  Since I published this post just a couple of hours ago I have realized that the unthinkable has happened.... Yes, I have mastitis again.  For the 4th time.  I got it at 3 weeks, 6 weeks, 9 weeks and now 12 weeks.  Lord help me.  At least my Dr is cool enough to just call me in something at this point. I asked her a couple of weeks ago what I could do to prevent it.  She said nothing - some people are just prone to it.  Lucky Me **

Last night we went to Dustin's Dad's to see his cousin Jaime and her husband Craig and their lil girl Londyn.

We've got a full day planned but just wanted to say Happy 4th and share a couple of pictures from this morning!

Asher started asking to go to Meme & Papa's at 6:30 this morning....  I had to hold him off until 10 and now we're trying to keep him out of the pool until Ashlyn gets here.  Patience is hard when you're 3 :)

Asher's Got a New Ride

Shortly before Asher's Birthday Dustin bought an old 4 wheeler that supposedly needed only one part... we replaced that and between Dustin and our Dad's they still weren't able to fix it.  Which was OK with me because the thing was ancient and didn't seem too safe.  So we just kind of gave up on it.  But of course Asher was disappointed that it never ran.  Dustin and I had told Asher we would get him something else next year.  End of discussion.

A few weeks ago we were hanging out at Mom and Dad's on a Saturday.  Dad got a phone call and jumped in his truck and left without telling anyone where he was going.  I just figured he got a call for a tow.  When he got back he had this in the back of his truck...

We were all suprised - especially Meme who didn't know Papa was buying his lil guy a new 4 wheeler :)

 Asher was soooo "cited!"

 Dad had me in mind when he got one with a button I can push to shut it down... don't want him going too fast.

 On the other hand - maybe he wasn't thinking of me...

Catching Up

Thanks to my Brother I finally have Internet back!  And although I've hardly taken any pictures I was a little embarrassed when I realized I hadn't really taken any pictures off of my camera.  So here is a hodge podge of what we've been up to the last few weeks.

We sent out Asher's Birthday Thank You's.

But it just didn't work. 

We went to Dustin's Dad and Sue's one Sunday to celebrate the June Birthdays. 

 

The Cousins

I was cracking up looking through this pictures.  Newborns are so funny when they are awake - I catch The Sister and RJ laughing at all of Adler's "expressions" all the time.  I PROMISE I'll get Asher's birthday party pictures up soon but these pictures were killing me and I had to share.  Here is Adler and Kaden at 2 weeks old :)

Them Boys

Today is RJ and Tanner's Graduation parties - Stevie's is next week. I can't believe these boys are old enough to be done with school! I've always loved this song and think it kind of sums them up :)

The Sister's B-Day & Righter Mother's Day

Last Friday night Mom and Dad had a little party for The Sister's 22nd Birthday.  For some reason I totally forgot to get my camera out until it was almost time to go home.

But Sister didn't wanna have her picture taken anyway.

Asher did sing her Happy Birthday though.  He was in love with Aunt Sandy's puppy :)

On Saturday the ladies on my Mom's side met up in Bloomington for some Pre-Baby/Mother's Day pedis!  Then it was back to Towanda to have dinner at my Aunt Kristi's.

Brody kept himself entertained with a plastic tub.

Dad assumed his normal position on the couch.  However, this time he didn't even make it all the way through his piece of pie before he was out.

Mudda's Day

 The boys took me out for breakfast Sunday morning then we did some work around the house.

 Dustin mowed the yard.

 And we finally trimmed the tree in the back - it was waaaay overdue.

So of course Asher had to get out his chainsaw and help too!

 Then finally sat down and peddled all over the driveway.  I can't believe how big he's getting!

 The boys went and got the boat and cleaned it....again.

 While I admired the flowers that my Grandma Jane put together for me :)

 We went to Mom and Dad's to give Mom her gift.  Asher found that he was handy with a leaf blower.

 Then we took a swim.  This Mama felt sooooo good being weightless in the water!

He wouldn't get off of the step until Papa just picked him up and took him out with him.  Then he was all smiles!

And we tried to get a Mother's Day picture.  But this is how Asher felt about it.

This week in the blade under the "20 Years Ago - May 6, 1992" They had something that I had written in Kindergarden about my Mom that was published that day.

Tess Weber, Daughter of Randy and Lori Weber, said, "My Mom picks up all my toys and cleans the house.  If I had a lot of money, I would buy Mom some flowers because she already has a golf cart."

I guess not much has changed :)
