Bottoms Up

No, I don't think Asher's ready to potty train yet, and to tell you the truth neither am I, but I couldn't resist trying on his little underwear.  He was so excited!  He was all over the place.

I love this kid.

We had another successful Easter this past weekend.  We kicked off the festivities last Wednesday after family dinner night when we dyed Easter Eggs at Mom and Dads.  Asher was not as impressed as I thought he would be.

After church on Sunday we went to Mom & Dads to open Asher's Easter basket at their house.  After going home so the boys could take a little nap we headed down to my Aunt & Uncle's house in Towanda.  And wouldn't you know?  The Easter Bunny also came to Great Grandma Jane's house, Great-Great Aunt Annie's house and even Great Aunt Kristi's house.  Wow, what a spoiled little boy we have!

Charlee's Birthday Party

On Saturday afternoon we had Charlee's Birthday Party.  Poor girl wasn't feeling good at her party and Asher wore a scowl most of the time.  It wasn't until we were about ready to leave that he started having fun.  Little Stinker.

Don't they look HAPPY!

Happy Birthday Charlee!

Today my Niece Charlee turns 2!

I can't believe that she is 2 already and in just a few short weeks it will be Asher's turn.  Where have our babies gone?
Jodi & I loved being pregnant together!
Then 2 years ago we got to meet this little peanut!

Then before we knew it a year had passed!

Now look at these 2!  Such big kids!
I can't wait to see how these two will interact in the years to come - I hope that they become great friends!  Charlee is such a smart little girl and I think she'll be the one to boss Asher around.  On the other hand I think Asher will be the one to get them into trouble... I guess time will tell.  And judging by how fast the last 2 years have gone we won't have long to wait and see :)

My Poor Bubby

I should have known when Asher slept in so late on Saturday that he wasn't feeling well.  He seemed fine on Saturday just a little tired.  Sunday morning he was really cranky so I laid him down for a nap.  When he got up he felt really warm so I took his temp and it was 102.5.  Hmmmm where did this come from.  I gave him some Tylenol throughout the rest of the day.  He played fine and seemed ok and I knew Dr. Austman would be in the office the next day.  He woke up about 12:30 Sunday night burning up with a 104.3 temp so I got him in the tub and tried to get him cooled down.  We went to the Dr on Monday and she said it looked like strep even though the test came back negative.  So we went and got medicine and hung out for the day.

Tuesday morning I was all dressed for work and Mom was on her way over to take care of Asher when he woke up. Mom got there and tried to get him out of bed and change his diaper and he wouldn't let her near him. It had been another rough night - we were up from 2-4 AM so he had to be so tired and his fever stayed with him the night before. Since I knew there was no leaving him with Grandma for the day I went out and called my boss and told her I wouldn't be in again that day. Good thing she's so understanding! So Asher and I spent another day at home. Mom, Dad and Taylor came to see us at lunchtime - which was nice because I needed a break from the Weebles. Asher didn't feel good and he alternated between crying and pointing his finger at me and yelling "no, no, no!" Worst thing was that I could do NOTHING to make him happy.

If you look closely you can see the tears running down his cheeks :(

Weekend Recap

Friday night Asher hung out with Katelynn while Dustin & I, Mom & Dad, Taylor & Josh and Heidi & Kevin went out for the night.  We had fun and the Sister got to wear the new boots I got her for her Birthday.  To say that she is counting down to Vegas is putting it mildly.

Happy with her Birthday Present!
On Saturday Asher slept in until 8:40, I should have known something was wrong then - more on that later.  But anyway - Dustin & I picked up Mom and headed down to Bloomington for the afternoon.  We stopped at Steak-N-Shake for lunch.  Asher looked so freakin cute in the little hat!

Popejoy Easter

On Sunday we had the Popejoy Easter and Dustin's Dad's Birthday at his Aunt & Uncle's house in Ellsworth.  We had a good time and the kids had a blast playing outside on such a beautiful day!
